Today we took a bus tour of the city. We went all over the city. It was amazing. We went to the market. In the market, the venders set their prices high. It is price negotiations are expected. I enjoyed that too.
Then we stopped at the District Six museum. Viewing the museum made me feel really sad yet grateful. I think I was saddened to know that people had to endure such harsh treatment. They were uprooted from their homes and sent to live on land allotted to them by the government. (Kinda like what happened with the native Americans and the reservations.) Then I felt grateful to be born in the country and time that I was born. Another thing that struck me about apartheid is that it only ended a short time ago.
After that experience, we rode the bus to Table Mountain. It is the most beautiful sights ever. I had to ride a cable car up the mountain. I was really scared, but I made it with a little help (prayer) from my friends. I am so glad I defeated that fear.
We then took the tour to the water front. We rode a very large carrousel that over looked the entire city… (Had to Pray again) None the less, I made it.
